It's Already May?!

Wow...Well I cannot believe how fast this year is going. It sure feels like summer already. Cali has been having heat waves (well to us californians anyway...LOL!). One weekend it's super hot and the next BAM! you have rain. Crazy Weather! I cannot complain though. We still have awesome weather year round here in beautiful San Diego! I sure will miss this place if we move from California. I will be sad to leave it. We live about 10 minutes from the ocean and I can see it out my window from the second floor. I will be bummed if the USMC moves us to middle America...LOL! No more ocean breeze for us if that is the case. Like I mentioned before I knew it was a matter of time until we PCS'. So we found out the hubby goes to recruiting school in September for 2 months and then we have 30 days to find a house and move to who knows where at the moment. He will not find out until the second week of school. We currently live in base housing so to save us money and since the school is in San Diego anyway my mom has graciously let us move in to her house while the hubby is in recruiting school. She lives fairly close to it and that way we can save the rent money from what we would be paying base housing. And voula! we will have saved up money for our move.
Although I am still sad to be leaving I am a bit more calm about it and a little more excited. Don't get me wrong moves are still a pain in my ass!! I knew it came with the territory of being a Marine Wife. Well any military spouse really. A lot of our good friends have started to move away as well. Some are already on to their next adventure and others leaving soon. It's a shame because we have all grown so close to each other. We got even closer since all our hubby's deployed together 3 years ago. We always keep in touch though. I wish them nothing but the best of luck and well being. Especially to my friend Liz. They are being stationed out of country. UGH! From all the horror stories I heard about moving to a different country.  They say the living there isn't the bad part. It's simply all the paperwork and packing you have to do to get there. Specially if you have pets. Well on to a happier note. My little munchkins...Yup I am talking about my nieces and nephews. No kids for us yet...but we have tons of practice with all my brothers kids.

This Is Our Niece And God Daughter...Nina!

Our Other Cutie. Our Niece Vivian.

Vivian if fully mobile and running. Nina is standing up on her own...but not quite walking on her own. We hope she starts walking before we leave Cali. I'm sure she will. They grow up so quickly. Before you know it they are teenagers and wearing makeup. At the moment ,my husband and I are looking into having babies sometime at the end of this year or beginning of next year. No more practice for us. No one is really ready for children...but we want to start having our own children. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. In order for me to start trying I want to lose more weight first to be in a healthier state. I want our baby and myself healthy above all else. So at the moment I am on my life style change journey. My hubby recently surprised me by buying us an elliptical for the house. After 2 years of bugging him. So I jump on the elliptical for 45 minutes and then do some weight training here at home with my dumbbells and hope on my gigantic exercise ball. So far I have lost 5lbs. in a matter of a week. I am happy with that result and we shall see what I lost at the end of this week. I have been eating low sodium food. So pretty much no processed foods for me. I cook everything fresh here at home. I found this amazing page on www.facebook.com with ladies who have the same goal to lose weight. They also post healthy and yummy recipes and fun healthy desserts. Recently I found this genius idea to put aluminum foil on a cookie sheet. Then fill a ziploc bag with greek yogurt...cut a corner of it like your about to frost a cake and make dots on the foil and then freeze it. Voula! you have a yummy yogurt snack! So there is what I have been up to thus far. I hope everyone is doing well.
